Sacristans ensure that everything needed for the celebration of Mass is properly prepared. Sacristans arrive 30 minutes before Mass to sign in and ready the Sacristy. They check the Tabernacle, prepare the sacred vessels, and place the Lectionary on the ambo. Sacristans also confirm that Readers and Eucharistic Ministers are present and ready to serve. After Mass, they clean the vessels and set up for the next liturgy as needed.
