About

St. Ann EFAM assists Johnston County residents in crisis situations with utility bills.

EFAM Volunteers meet with and interview clients to gain an understanding of the client’s financial situation, then compassionately evaluate how best to assist the client. Assistance may include

  • Joining partner agencies to pay Utility bills,

  • Referring clients to local food pantries,

  • Advising clients on Energy Audits

  • Budgeting advice, and

  • Other referrals.

EFAM appointments are held two Thursday mornings a month January – June and August -November (July and December appointments are reserved for St. Ann Parishioners only). Available appointments depend on funding.

To receive an appointment, potential clients call the last Tuesday of each month to be placed on our waiting list. Pre-screening calls are made to potential clients to determine need for an appointment.
