Youth News:
The youth group has many upcoming events that we hope you will consider joining:
Concert: The youth group has tickets to the Christian Rock band Casting Crowns! Friday March 9th 7pm at the RBC Center. Tickets are $20. This trip is open to anyone in the parish. Please reserve now as they are sure to be gone soon. Call Ann Mullins: 919-740-6674
High School Youth Convention: This year’s diocesan youth weekend trip is being held at Fort Caswell on Oak Island; May 18-20. The cost is $110; the experience is priceless. Included in the price are lodging, food and transportation for the weekend. There are diocesan and parish scholarships available. A deposit of $25 is due by Feb 6th. Search: There are two weekends left this year for this fantastic retreat for 11th and 12th grade teens held at Short Journey Center. Feb10-12 or March 9-11. Cost is $105. Contact Ann at amullins64@nc.rr.com or 919-740-6674 to register.
Stop Hunger Now: The youth group is proud to be partnering this year with the Hispanic young adults to be part of a community wide Stop Hunger Now project. A member of Horne Memorial Church in Clayton is organizing churches and civic organizations from around the county to participate. The goal is to package 1,000,000 meals in our area! To date, a commitment of over 700,000 meals has been made. All members of our parish are encouraged to participate. The packing is scheduled to take place on Saturday March 17th; the location is being determined. We will need many hands, donations and prayers to raise $5000 which will enable us to reach our church goal of packing 20,000 meals. We encourage you to help us with donations from your job or other businesses that you may know. Sign up will begin Feb 18-19 after the masses. Contact amullins64@nc.rr.com for further details. Make checks payable to St. Ann with Stop Hunger Now in the memo line.
Food Card Fundraising: The youth group is so thankful for the ongoing participation from the parish with this program. Only with your continued support will be able to send 12 teens and 3 adults on our first parish youth group mission trip! We are also offering scholarships for the high school convention retreat with these funds. Realizing that you can support the kids without spending any funds over your normal food budget is the key in the success of the project. So remember to bring your check book to church and write a check to St. Ann and receive your gift card to Food Lion or Lowe’s foods for the same amount in return. The cards are active immediately, so when you leave church you can head right to the store. The cards also don’t expire and you don’t have to use the total amount all at one time. Food cards are available on the 1st and 3rd weekends of the month after all masses. Thanks again for your participation.

NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY THE FOLLOWING:
- Baptismal certificate (Grade 2, 10, All Special Sacraments students)
- Sponsor or Godparent form for Special Sacraments students
- Signed policy statement
- Fees, either deposit, full or partial
